Christians Against Poverty

Teaching Financial Stewardship and Money Management

What is CAP Money?

The CAP Money Course is a revolutionary money management course that gives people the opportunity to learn skills that have a lasting impact on their finances.

This course teaches people how to build a budget, make it balance, and put a simple system in place to manage and track finances. This course will help anyone to get more control of their finances so that they can save, give and prevent debt. The CAP Money Course has been devised by the award-winning debt counselling charity, Christians Against Poverty.

What does the CAP Money Course Include?

The course covers the following:

  • How to build and balance a budget step-by-step, using CAP's powerful online budgeting tool that does all the hard work automatically.
  • The CAP Money System: A simple way to set up your finances with confidence. The system teaches how bills are taken care of, how everyday expenses are covered, and how debt can be paid off.
  • Taking control of money: Organising money and using cash week-to-week in order to understand exactly how much is being spent - and what it's being spent on.

Testimonials by Recent Participants of an Orillia area CAP Money Course:

"We both thought that the CAP money course provided a great deal of insight for us as a young newly-married couple. We have benefited from the budget tool provided on the website, and the concept of using cash instead of debit or credit. We've been trying to use cash more often since the course, and have found that having specific amounts of cash for food, entertainment, gas, etc., has helped our savings grow. It's only been a few months, but by the year's end I think we will see our savings increase much more than it would have before we had done the CAP course!"
